School Rules & Regulations for Students of Doha Modern Indian School – Qatar

At Doha Modern Indian School in Qatar, we prioritize creating a conducive learning environment that fosters discipline, responsibility, and academic integrity. To ensure smooth operations and provide a safe and respectful atmosphere for all students, we have established a set of rules and regulations. These guidelines cover various aspects, including attendance and timeliness, behavior and discipline, dress code and personal appearance, as well as academic integrity. By adhering to these rules, our students can make the most of their educational journey and contribute to a positive school community.

Attendance and Timeliness Rules

  • Students MUST arrive at school no later than 7:15 a.m.
  • Students MUST be punctual in attending lessons.
  • Students who need to leave the classroom for any reason must obtain a pass from the teacher.
  • Students who arrive late must obtain a late-entry slip in order to be allowed into class.
  • Students will not be permitted to leave the school during school hours, except in cases of emergencies where written permission MUST be obtained from the Heads of Section or the Key Stage Coordinators.
  • Students will Parents MUST inform the school if their child(ren) will be absent from school.not be permitted to leave the school during school hours, except in cases of emergencies where written permission MUST be obtained from the Heads of Section or the Key Stage Coordinators.
  • Applications for an extended absence from school MUST be submitted in advance to the Head of Section, who will then refer it to the Principal for consideration.
  • Students MUST visit the nurse if they feel unwell. Students cannot leave school due to illness without the permission of the nurse.

Behavior and Discipline Rules

  • Students MUST behave well on the school bus and must respect the authority of the driver and conductor.
  • Valuable items should not be brought into school. The school will not be held responsible for any loss.
  • Obscene literature or the use of bad language will not be tolerated within the school premises.
  • Students MUST not damage the plants and trees on the school grounds.
  • Chewing gum is not allowed within the school.
  • Students will Personal cleanliness and hygiene are expected from everyone.Parents MUST inform the school if their child(ren) will be absent from school.not be permitted to leave the school during school hours, except in cases of emergencies where written permission MUST be obtained from the Heads of Section or the Key Stage Coordinators.
  • Smoking will result in expulsion from school.
  • Any damage to school property will be charged against the Cautionary Deposit and could result in expulsion from the school.

Dress Code and Personal Appearance Rules

  • Students MUST wear their ID cards at all times.
  • Students MUST wear the correct school uniform and be neatly dressed at all times.
  • Hairstyles MUST be appropriate, and the use of gel or spiked hair is not acceptable. Girls must tie their hair back. Hair coloring is not allowed.
  • Girls are permitted to wear one (1) pair of studs in pierced ears. No other jewelry is permitted. Girls are not allowed to wear nail varnish on their fingernails or makeup.

Academic Integrity Rules

  • Cheating is unacceptable, and any student caught using unfair means during a test/examination will be removed from that examination/test and receive a 'zero' grade.
  • Library books MUST be returned on time. If a library book is lost or not returned, the student will be asked to pay the replacement cost.
